Forking Postman Collection

Forking Postman Collection

Sandbox maintains a Postman Workspace with all our APIs neatly organized into public collections. This is where you can explore and interact with all the APIs we offer for simplifying your tax compliance and KYC needs. Forking a collection allows you to work with our APIs directly in your own Postman account while staying in sync with updates.

How to Fork our Postman Collection

  1. Access the Public Workspace: Open our public workspace at Sandbox API Public Workspace.

  2. Locate the Collection: Browse through the list of collections available and select the one you'd like to use.

  3. Click the Fork Button

    • On the collection's overview page, click the Fork button (usually at the top-right corner).
    • Alternatively, right-click the collection and select Fork Collection from the dropdown.
  4. Name Your Fork: Provide a name for your forked collection (e.g., “TDS Compliance by Sandbox”).

  5. Choose a Workspace: Select the personal or team workspace where you'd like to save the forked collection.

  6. (Optional) Select Environments to Fork: Choose to fork the test and production environments as well.

Note: Skip this step if you’ve already forked the environment previously.

  7. Click Fork: Your forked collection will now appear in your selected workspace.

What You Can Do with a Forked Collection

  1. Stay Updated

If sync is enabled, you’ll automatically receive updates when changes or new APIs are added to the original collection.

  2. Test and Experiment

Run API requests, experiment with different inputs, and test integrations in your workspace.

  3. Collaborate with Your Team

Share the forked collection with your team to work together on API integrations.

🎉 Forking a collection is a perfect way to kick-start your work with Sandbox APIs while keeping everything personalized and under control. Enjoy exploring!

Next Steps

After forking a collection, here’s what to do next:

  1. Generate API Keys: Create API keys in your Sandbox account.
  2. Generate an Access Token: Use API keys to authenticate and obtain tokens.

These steps will ensure you’re ready to start making requests to Sandbox APIs!
